Chris Morris is the creative director of Wazoo Design. After ten years working with some of the NZ advertising industrys top creatives, she was inspired to set up her own business and in 1998, Wazoo Design was born.
Her skills include those of an artist, finished artist, illustrator, and photographer. Chris is also a mac operator, a senior designer, and an experienced account manager.
She has established a successful design consultancy servicing a range of clients from small businesses through to councils and government departments. Chris can call on a wider team of support staff for major contracts, providing dedicated support whatever your design needs.

Chris follows three key steps to creating successful visual communication design:

Understanding
The first step in effective visual communication is knowledge building – understanding the product or service, the target market and the competition. What produces great design is knowing as much as you can about a client.
Partnering
The next step is working together to determine the most effective way to communicate your business. Which media will best reach your market? A good strategy will not only make your design more effective it will invariably save you money.
The strategy should include a clear concept. This is the core idea behind the design. Without it, at best you’ll have a pretty piece of design, with it you will get your message to your market effectively and it will stick.
Relationship Building
The job is not done when the design is completed, but when it is working well in the market place. For Chris this means seeing the project through to implementation and ensuring results.
